*Central London based, with remote working options – minimum 2 days per month in London. Some travel required including events and congresses*

 

Job Purpose

Support the Progression and Development Lead in the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects that advance the progression of the veterinary nursing profession. You will take ownership of day-to-day project delivery tasks, coordinate internal and external stakeholders, and contribute directly to outputs, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard. You will also support evaluation and continuous improvement through data and feedback.

 

Key Responsibilities

You will be expected to:

  1. Support the Project Lead in developing project plans, timelines, and tracking tools
  2. Take responsibility of day-to-day project delivery, ensuring milestones and deliverables are completed on time and to quality standards
  3. Monitor project progress, risks, and deadlines, and escalate issues where needed
  4. Assist with budget tracking and resource allocation to ensure projects remain on target
  5. Coordinate and deliver meetings, workshops, events, and training sessions, including following up on actions
  6. Maintain project documentation, records, and reporting systems to support transparency and governance
  7. Contribute to the creation and delivery of project outputs, including learning materials, digital content, and communications
  8. Liaise with internal and external providers or suppliers to ensure timely delivery of project outputs
  9. Collect, analyse, and evaluate data and stakeholder feedback to inform improvements and support continuous learning
  10. Help maintain website or digital content relating to project activities in coordination with internal teams
  11. Support the continuous improvement of project processes, tools, and ways of working
  12. Carry out any other project-related tasks as requested by the Progression and Development Lead

 

Other

  • Contribute to review and maintenance of policies, procedures, and digital content relating to projects.
  • Attend relevant professional and public-facing events as required.
  • Maintain professional knowledge and development.
  • Undertake other tasks reasonably requested by the Director of Veterinary Nursing.

 

Essential Qualifications

  • Educated to A-level standard (or equivalent) and/or demonstrable relevant experience in project coordination or regulatory/professional body work

 

Essential skills, knowledge & experience

  • Excellent time management, attention to detail, good proof reading skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently, manage own workload, and support project delivery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to liaise effectively with a range of stakeholders at all levels and managing follow-up actions.
  • Experience assisting with project planning, timelines, and task lists.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects or initiatives simultaneously and contributing to cross-team collaboration.
  • Experience of collecting, analysing, and summarising data or stakeholder feedback to inform evaluation and continuous improvement
  • Experience of organising and supporting meetings, workshops, consultations, training sessions, or stakeholder engagement activities
  • Diplomacy, tact, resilience, and the ability to influence and motivate others.
  • Flexible thinker, able to operate effectively under uncertainty or incomplete information.
  • Familiarity with professional regulation and awareness of relevant frameworks and standards.

 

Desired skills & experience

  • Current knowledge of UK veterinary nursing practice, policy and legislation.
  • Experience supporting curriculum development or educational programme delivery.
  • Experience contributing to risk assessment and identifying potential issues for escalation.
  • Familiarity with tracking project outcomes and supporting reporting on impact or feedback.
  • Excellent knowledge MS applications, Word, Excel, SharePoint and its application
