Job Purpose
To maintain the Register of Members (vets & nurses) and Register of Veterinary Practice Premises whilst ensuring continuous improvement and providing high standards of Customer services to Members.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the annual renewal operations for veterinary surgeons, nurses and premises
- Assist with the integrity of the Register by following a programme of data cleanse exercises.
- Continually identify areas of improvement and smarter working.
- Provide assistance with membership and premises inquiries through contact methods such as telephone and email, ensuring a prompt and proactive approach is taken to deliver a service focused on finding solutions.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Create relationships with external customers, for example, Practice Managers, veterinary authorities and licensing bodies in other countries, DEFRA, BIS and other professional regulators and associated organizations
- Offer support within the Department, utilising cross-skills whenever required.
Essential Criteria
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills
- Customer focused approach – positive “can-do” attitude
- Ability to make decisions and work on own initiative as well as part of a team.
- Clear, concise, logical, and practical approach to issues
- Ability to identify solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- IT literate: Word, Access, Excel, database management
- Strong writing and drafting skills.
- Excellent telephone manner
Qualifications
Educated to at least A level - Preferred
