This role within our education team will be a key player contributing to the undergraduate related work within the department. Reporting to the Lead for Undergraduate Education, this role will assist with the coordination of collating and reviewing documentation relating to veterinary programme accreditation and will be involved in reviewing evidence presented in support of our accreditation standards. The Senior Education Officer will be responsible for updating our databases with new documentation, attending accreditation visits to universities in the UK and overseas occasionally, and providing support for the training programme for our accreditation panel members.
The Senior Education Officer will be responsible for all work relating to Extra-Mural Studies (EMS), including project work, liaison with vet schools and committees, and attendance at stakeholder events.
This role will also act as Secretary to the Specialist Recognition Subcommittee (SRC), as well as processing applications and maintaining the list of RCVS Specialists.
Job Purpose
To provide the effective delivery of services within the Education Department, and to support the committees and working parties relevant to that area.
To support the Lead for Undergraduate Education in delivering high quality and professional educational services and outcomes for stakeholders.
To contribute to the further development of services within the education department as required to ensure the needs of the RCVS and stakeholders are met.
To act as Secretary to the Specialist Recognition Subcommittee (SRC), prepare & distribute agendas, papers and minutes, and maintain the list of Specialists, in collaboration with the Lead for Postgraduate Education.
